With 2 offices in Portugal (Lisbon and Porto), the Indian company Zomato just chose Lisbon as the main office for its European operations. The reasons are the strong technological skills, the enthusiasm for mobile apps and the geographic location. The location and the ease on the access to other European airports made Lisbon an interesting city to invest in. That, together with the fact that from the beginning Zomato found people in Portugal with the needed talent and the drive to improve the business in the European market.

Miguel is now the one that’s going to lead the European team and work on the business expansion to other countries. In Europe, Zomato is now present in Portugal, the UK, Italy, Check Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Therefore, a new country manager in Portugal will be needed. So far, 45 people work for the company in Portugal, but more people will be hired for sales in Lisbon.
