Spranger is one of the 20 finalists selected to present to the CBC Investor Board, in the Creative Business Cup (CBC) in Copenhagen. This is the first time a Portuguese startup is selected to present in this category, but Uniplaces was the winner of the CBC Audience Prize in 2012.

Business Angel Copenhagen and Creative Business Cup will host the 14th EBAN Winter University on 16 – 18 November 2015 in Copenhagen together with the 4th Creative Business Cup.

Creative Business Cup is a global network and marketplace that allows creative entrepreneurs to scale their business concepts, connect with investors and partners and boost their international business potential. The highlight of Creative Business Cup is the annual world championship for startups. Over 50 countries organize national CBC finals where the best and most innovative startups from the creative sector are awarded and get the chance to participate in the world championship in November in Copenhagen where the best, most innovative and promising creative startups, from more than 50 countries, come together. EBAN is the European collaboration for investors focusing on startups, entrepreneurs and early stage companies.

Between sessions in the event, it will be possible to participate in the CBC Investor Board pitching and to explore networking opportunities.

Spranger is in the top 20 startups with biggest investment potential, chosen among 160 candidates.

What’s Spranger?

Spranger is being developed by the 17-year-old Pedro Spranger, who’s trying to solve a common situation: when you remove your earphones, you lose the content playing until you put them back on. With the Spranger technology, the earphones detect when they are not in the ear and get on standby mode, they start playing again when back on the ear. The international patent is pending.
