The 10 Finalists of the Super Bock / Serralves National Creative Industries Award (PNIC) were announced today.
The challenge that intends to support and encourage young entrepreneurs in the creative industries field, will award one of the 10 selected projects, from the 4 categories in the competition, with 25.000€ and the chance to participate and represent Portugal in the Creative Business Cup (in Copenhagen, Denmark).
And the finalists are:
Architecture and Visual Arts Category
1 – Cross Hands Architecture
Architecture atelier committed to provide effective and urgent housing solutions for extreme poverty scenarios resulting from war or natural disasters.
2 – EcoBook
A paper notebook to write and erase over and over again.
3 – Sistema Gomos
Flexible, modular and scalable system of house building.
4 – Stallo
Recycling and processing of glass bottles that, with the use of ceramics, become original glasses.
5 – STILL Urban Design
This studio creates open urban spaces (public, collective or private) that establish the desirable mediation between Man, Climate and Environment.
Content and New Media
6 – Here Come the Robots
Generic robotic control systems, computer vision, payback, audio and internet access.
7 – Rewind Cities
Mobile applications with innovative 2D and 3D experiments in augmented reality, that allow users to embark on time trips to the places you’re visiting.
Music and Performing Arts
8 – Arumis
A project that aims to provide the experience of the fragrances to the cinema industry.
9 – Spranger
Presents a new type of headphones with built-in pressure sensors.
Tourism and Patrimony
10 – Miss Can
The brand has 5 packs that provide canned Portuguese products, seasonings and identity.
Next week, the projects will participate in an immersion to work and evolve their business models. The winner will be announced in July.
