Created by a team of researchers from the University of Coimbra, the Portuguese information security company Dognaedis has now global relevance by joining one of the top security companies in the world, Prosegur.

Based in Coimbra with a subsidiary in the UK, Dognaedis offers data protection and cyber security services to clients from finances, telecom and public sectors in many countries. The startup started as an initiative hosted by Instituto Pedro Nunes, after five years of increasing success it became a private company.

Dognaedis becoming part of Prosegur group marks a new phase in our company’s life. It will allow us to embrace new challenges and businesses. We will have a totally different operational capacity, making part of a SOC (Security Operation Center) network spread all over the globe able to increase the quality of our services.

Prosegur created its cyber security division in 2014, offering consulting services in surveillance and vulnerability management among other. With cyber security teams in Spain, Paraguai and Colombia, Prosegur will keep Dognaedis current team and structure.
