Today the #3 Startup Braga / FLAD Acceleration Program kicked-off in front of an audience of experienced business people, curious to know more about the teams getting aboard.

The opening remarks from Carlos Oliveira, InvestBraga President, and FLAD Board Member Jorge Gabriel, were pretty much focused on results achieved since 2014, when Startup Braga begun this path of supporting startups, and the ambitious goals for this edition.

More than 65 startups, gathering more than 190 entrepreneurs, have been supported by Startup Braga. In the last years, together they were able to raise more than 6 million euros of investment.

Around 100 teams applied to be part of this batch, almost 50% of them were from abroad. After the selection process, 11 teams will participate in the program, one of them coming from Denmark:

  5. Blood Type Analyzer – A fast and simple way to perform pre-transfusion tests specially for emergency situations.
  6. Fresh.Land – Digitalising the food supply chain. Fresh & natural products from farm to retailer in 4 days rather than 4 months by cutting the middlemen.
  7. Wildsmile – Building global smiles by unlocking dental health access.
  8. By Cool World – A world of authentic and unique experiences that create personalized guides with the most memorable experiences that a city has to offer.
  9. Helppier – The easiest way to create Interactive & Self-Paced User Guides.
  10. MindProber – Crowd-sourced real-time media testing. Using wearables and cloud technology to build a next generation consumer science platform.
  11. Magikbee – Bridge the gap between physical and digital play | World’s first iPad game that merge real wooden toys with kids educational apps.

Teams, advisors and mentors are ready and will be working together in the next 4 months to achieve growth and impact.

The new teams aboard will be up to get a €100k investment from Caixa Capital, represented in the event by Executive Director Stephen Morais, and participate in a roadshow to the USA.
