PeekMed, a Braga-based startup, founded last year by João Pedro Ribeiro, Sara Silva and Jaime Campos launched the first 3D Orthopedic Software in the world, PeekMed One.

The One is changing how doctors plan orthopedic procedures in a powerful and rich 3D environment. With PeekMed One an orthopedic surgeon is able to perform any surgical planning by interacting with PeekMed’s patented technology: a 3D model created from the patient’s CT scan and 3D prosthetic material.

This 3D environment allows the orthopedic surgeon to completely anticipate the surgery and predict some post-surgical complications. PeekMed’s innovative software ends current 2D limitations for orthopedic surgeons that cannot have a full preview of a surgery.

This is a game changer for the orthopedic community. It effectively allows the planning of traumatic and non-traumatic surgery with the support of the 3D reconstruction.
